- Piedmont Community Church — Family-friendly non-denominational Christian church with excellent Sunday school and a moving liturgy. I've been a member since 2019.
- PCC Board of Mission — I am currently chair of the Piedmont Community Church mission board, which coordinates all the churches externally-focused chartible work.
- Mission Study Team — I was on the team to survey church goals and priorities ahead of our new pastor search
Non-Profit
- NumFOCUS — Foundation supporting open source scientific computing software. I am one of the inaugural Open Source Champions.
- Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) — Defends academic freedom and civil liberties on campus. I'm a member of the Ember Club.
- National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) — The only national mathematics museum, located in New York City. I'm proud to be one of the museum's inaugural donors.
- Wikimedia Foundation — The non-profit supporting Wikipedia. I am a benefactor.
